I just finished my second marlin trip of the season here in Mag Bay and although some people are saying the bite is slowing down that was not the case for us. My guests Bob Landry from Phoenix, Arizona and Jeremy Cameron from Maine had an incredible trip. Each of them landed several marlin and could not believe all the action we encountered as we had marlin feeding on bait everywhere we looked and not another boat in sight. We did have one day of wind that kept us from fishing but the rest of the week we had calm seas with lots of sun and all of us yelling marlin as the fish constantly came up behind the teasers. I will be starting my next trip on the 30th of November and I will be sure to give a report as soon as we get in.

I want to give everyone a report from the first offshore trip that we did here in Mag Bay last week. My guests Ron Guerra from Seattle, Wa. and Norm Buggel from New York, NY. found plenty of action. We headed out early in the week and had seas that were pretty bumpy from the North wind that was on the Pacific side but as we started day two the winds had calmed and the marlin were everywhere. Ron and Norm were hooked up to marlin for three straight days and then once again we had some wind and the marlin disappeared. Ron and I fished inside the bay on Sunday and rod caught cabrilla, pargo, Bay Bass along with a variety of other species. I will be starting my next trip here tomorrow and I will give everyone a report as soon as I get back in.
I would like to let everyone know I will be leaving for Magdalena bay tomorrow 11/7/07 to start my live aboard off shore trips. This year I am offering a seven day fishing package where we will live aboard a 40′ vessel and will be in waters that contain some of the best off shore fishing grounds in the world. My package includes seven days of guided fishing along with round trip transfers from Loreto airport to the boat along with all meals and drinks and equipment if needed. I will only be taking two anglers per week so each of them will get plenty of fish. I am offering this package based on double occupancy and it is priced at only $3,750.00 per angler. I have my first clients arriving on the 10th of November and have back to back trips until mid to late December. I still have some availability so if you are interested please contact me for details as I will be happy to provide them. I will be checking messages and returning phone calls during this time so do not hesitate to give us a call. This area during the next few weeks is known as some of best stripe marlin fishing in the world. If you want to catch a marlin on the fly this is the place to be during November and December. We will also be catching Dorado, Wahoo, and what ever else we can encounter. I will be giving updated reports of the action as often as I can (the internet access over their is hit and miss) so make sure to check back and see what is happening. I will be taking a lot of video and plan on getting some of it up on this site for all of you to enjoy as soon as I return. I look forward to sharing some reports and stories of some great fishing with everyone.
