I am off to the Somerset NJ Fly Fishing Show that starts on Friday January 24th. If anyone is in the area, please stop by and say hello. We have had some great weather on Sunday but we are still some wind here on the East Cape. On the nice days you can find some small jacks along the beach and if you are patient you will find some fish.
Cabo: Cabo’s offshore slowed down on the marlin bite, but the inshore fishing is really great. All the sierra you want to catch with some jacks and small roosters in the mix as well. Snapper are starting to show up as well and it should get better over the next few weeks. We are taking reservations for the 2014 season, plus we will be taking reservations at the show as well. Stay warm if you are on the east coast and we look forward to seeing old friends, and meeting new friends at the show.
I’m back from the Denver show and fishing Cabo this week with clients. The inside is fishing well with small roosterfish, jacks and Blue trevally. There are also some reports of scattered dorado and I will know more by mid week.
East Cape: The East Cape has seen some wind and there are some days that we can get out on the water. The inside is seeing sierra and there are some dorado around as well.
After this week I will be making my way to the New Jeresy Fly Fishing show. If anyone is at the show, please come by the booth and say hello. I will have some photos and a small report from the week in Cabo.
We have had a great show in Denver and to everyone you came by it was great meeting you. Our next show is in Somerset New Jersey and then off to Pleasanton CA. I did get a report from my captain and the fishing has been pretty solid in Cabo. There are some scattered marlin and the dorado bite has been fair. On the inside the roosterfish bite is good and most average 5-10 lbs
On the East Cape side on less windy days anglers are finding some good sized sierra. If anyone is at the upcoming shows please feel free to drop by and introduce yourself.
