The beach fishing has picked up this last week and we found several roosters on the beach. Also, some bait has shown up and it’s helped bring in some big fish. All the roosters on the beach at the moment average 25-40lbs. However, these fish are very educated and we had several shots at some nice fish, but we just could not get one on. We had had one grande fish turn and chase all the way to the shoreline and turned at the last second.
Offshore the The dorado bite and marlin bite is very good and most fish are found less than 5 miles from shore. The water temps are increasing and this is why we are seeing some great angling at the moment. We will be back out with clients fishing the beach this weekend and I will have a new report up shortly. If anyone has questions regarding trips, or rates, please feel free to call and we will be happy to answer questions.
Recently we have had some wind from the north and conditions are not what they where last week. Fishing along the beaches has slowed down and there are a few small to mid sized rooters, but you will have to work at them.
Over the last 2 weeks we had incredible fishing for jacks right off the beaches, and just like that, there are non this week. However, there should be some around shortly as conditions pick up again over the next few weeks. Also, I did explore some new beaches with my client Henna and we did pick up 8 small roosters . I had never fished these beaches before, but I was well worth the drive as I was able to put my client of some roosters.
Overall, there is no bait around at this time, which makes fishing tough. The best bet for anglers right now is the pacific side. We are finding roosters and marlin from the boats and overall the fishing is productive. I fished the pacific side the first part of this week and we did find some good fish.
