The East Cape has had some decent weather recently and we had some great days with little wind. I was out the other day and there are some small jacks and roosters, plus some Sierra at first light. Solid pompano bite as well and although they are small they are great fun on light rods.
In Cabo, inshore fishing has been solid with roosters, small jacks and sierra keeping clients busy. Also there are some schools of tuna around and they are fairly close to shore and only 3-5 miles out. If you find the porpoise you will find the tuna and have some fun. Marlin have also been keeping fishing interesting but they are deep and anglers fishing with bait are seeing results.
Will keep everyone updated as we go and hopefully the wind in the East Cape will die down before too long. In the mean time call us to book a Cabo trip or with any questions about the fishery.
The East Cape has been very windy, making it difficult to get out and fish most days. On the nice days, there have been some dorado and bill fish along with some yellowtail starting to show off la Ribera. Along the beach and inside there are Sierra very early in the mornings as well as some small rooster fish and jacks, but the forecast is looking like wind again this week.
In Cabo, the wind is not a factor and we’ve had luck with small to medium roosters along with sierra, jacks and a few pompano. Offshore has been pretty good for dorado and marlin. I hear a few tuna are around as well but have not seen any.
