East cape – windy windy windy. It was windy all week and strong enough to keep anglers off the water for most of the week. The wind is  forecast to ramp up again and everyone is curious to see if the wind pushed the roosters that were here out or not. Just waiting on a fishable window to find out and will update soon.

October 5

Cabo – the fishing inshore and along the beach has been pretty good. I had a guest get a nice rooster off the beach in San Jose where I told him to go and he hooked up. On the pacific side they are finding roosters, jacks, and a few Sierra along the beach and inshore.

Dorado ec1

Off shore the dorado bite is decent. When you hook a single fish keep it in the water and be patient…. Most if not most of the time there will be others that will show up. The marlin bite is fair and will get better as fish from the north continue to migrate down south.

Mag Bay – the marlin are showing a little better than a week ago, but the prime fishing is still running late and not quite in full swing yet. The fish found were about 40 miles off shore. Closer to shore the dorado are the bite of the week. The area has a lot of buoys right now and the dorado are hanging around them so focus on the structure.

Mangroves – fished great as usual with the usual catches of snapper small jacks etc.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and we look forward to fishing with you soon.

Tight lines,

Jeff
